Project: Award winning mixed use master planning project located in one of Dubai’s most prominent location, Jumeirah Central. The project aims to connect people to the city by focusing on walkability and sustainability with 47 million sq. ft. of gross floor area. 

 

Position: Senior Design Architect.
 

Responsibility: 

  1. Project and Office Management: • Meeting with clients • Discussions with clients of the brief and the preliminary drawings • Formulation of client requirements •  Co-ordination of the work of consultants

  2. Design and Design Documentation: • Site investigation and evaluation • Checking design proposals against statutory requirements

  3. Construction Documents: • Preparation of block design guidelines 

 

The scope of work:

Stage 1: appraisal and definition of the project,

Stage 3: design development,

Stage 4: technical documentation and municipality approval. 
During the design development and technical documentation of the master plan, we incorporated the design intent into the Block Design Guidelines (BDG’s). BDG’s were produced to inform and guide the developers on the master plans vision. The BDG’s included block descriptions, contextual diagrams, site constraints, development controls, indicative massing, and massing design. The BDG’s were created closely with information from the consultants of the master plan framework.

 

Status: Municipality approval
