CONCLUSION
The proposal will be an intriguing addition the urban landscape of the inner city. The city is a melting pot of different cultures and people from different nations. People will be drawn to the space below, like under the canopy of a tree. This work will serve as a reminder of the ideas on which this country was founded and as a reminder of the ideals of Nelson Mandela.

SITUATION PERSPECTIVE
The site for this project is on the forecourt to the Cape Town Station. The station is a good location for this, as people from all areas of the region and all cultures arrive there daily The structure will be erected on a grassed area which is largely sheltered from the noisy and busy streets, yet at the same time very connected to its urban surroundings. People might find this a convenient place to have a casual rest or chat during the day, or to have a quiet moment in a meditative space.
