Shadow Study at 01:00 pm Throughout the Year

At other times of the day, when the shadows do not align, the sculpture will still serve a function by providing shade. There will be fixed seating arranged in such a way that it will be covered by the cool shade of the structure, sheltering people from the harsh sun during office lunch hour. The seats are also arranged to receive the warmth of the sun in winter. The sculpture will become part of the urban furniture of Cape Towns inner city, to be used by the public. It will naturally become a spot which people are drawn to.
